Beauty Construct

Beauty Construct   2015

Beauty Construct explores the relationship between natural beauty and human perception, questioning whether beauty exists as an inherent quality of nature or as a concept shaped by human interpretation.

Drawing on Plato's association of beauty with truth, goodness, and harmony, the project examines the boundaries between the natural and the artificial, the organic and the constructed.

Through floral forms and their visual transformation, the work reflects on the human tendency to define, organise, and idealise nature. It raises a fundamental question: Is there a universal principle of beauty, or is beauty merely a construct of our own perception?
